I'm building SafeForKids (SFK) to create a hygienic digital environment for children, starting with YouTube.
YouTube is a treasure trove of fun and educational videos; BUT it is also filled with junk, misleading content, and even harmful material.

SFK will be a free service dedicated to solving this - filtering out "video slop," leaving only high-quality, fun/educational videos for the kids.

How we filter the fluff
We use a hybrid approach. An AI system identifies common slop patterns and flags videos out that way. Where the AI is not confident in its tagging, a human curator steps in to do a "vibe check" to ensure that the video is actually entertaining or educational.
Video platforms are broken.
Mainstream apps care about “watch time,” not your child. They push anything that keeps eyes glued to the screen, even if it's weird or wasteful.
